changedrivers was founded in 1998 by Alan Ward and Malcolm Anderson to address the need for implementation specialists focused on making change happen and stick in both public and private sectors.
We soon developed a reputation with our clients for insightful problem solving, rigorous process and sustainable change in landmark projects. Our researched methodologies and capable people have, from the beginning, enabled us to use small teams working through skills transfer with client staff to build and sustain performance.
The firm has since evolved and refined its capability and methods but has stayed true to the motto that was adopted at the beginning:
systems make it possible, people make it happen
This remains true and encapsulates our experience that sustainable performance improvement is derived from having systems designed to deliver the required outputs, integrated with the development of the people who need to perform the work.

Our logo represents that same thinking visually with the people profiles emerging from the cogs of knowledge and systems - you can't sustain effective performance without that joined-up thinking.
'The mural'
The visual thinking about representing our work was further challenged when we moved into our present Sydney office and found our frontage being graffitti'd. After some thought about what would be a sustainable solution 'changedrivers style' we commissioned a recognised graffitti artist to design and apply a mural across our frontage on which we are regularly complimented, which has brought us projects from passers-by and best of all, which has avoided any significant damage in the years it has adorned our building.

Nowadays changedrivers maintains offices in Sydney and Canberra, has capabilities based in Brisbane and Melbourne and delivers services across Australia, and in some projects, internationally.
We work closely with a range of key partner companies who supply complimentary capability in user-centred design, measuring and tracking change, communications management and a variety of carefully selected people development tools.
